2022 MIAA Soccer and 2022 Lids MIAA Football Championships Available for Live Stream, ESPN3; Tickets on Sale Now

HANOVER, MD – Legendary Sports Group (LSG) will host the 2022 MIAA Soccer Championships on November 6, followed by the Lids MIAA Football Championships on November 18 with a familiar stable of experienced announcers.
The soccer championships will be held at UMBC Stadium in Catonsville on Sunday, November 6, with the C Conference (1:00 p.m.), B Conference (3:15 p.m.) and A Conference (5:30 p.m.) title games. Calling the games will be former All-American athlete from Washington College and Boys’ Latin coach for 36 years, Bob Shriver, joined by Maryland-native and University of Maryland graduate, voice of MIAA Lacrosse, Connor Newcomb, the former voice of Johns Hopkins athletics.
The A & B conference soccer games will be livestreamed on MIAAchampionships.com, MIAA YouTube Channel and broadcast on FTF (For the Fan) network.
The football championships return to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis on Friday, November 18 with both the B Conference (4:00 p.m.) and the A Conference (7:30 p.m.) title games. For those not attending at Navy, you can tune in live on MIAAChampionships.com, MIAA YouTube Channel and ESPN3. Both football championship games will be called by long-time Baltimore sportscaster and current Orioles announcer, Scott Garceau, and former Baltimore Raven Femi Ayanbadejo.

This year’s A conference football competition will feature a new player MVP award in honor of legendary Baltimore-native and Maryland football great, Dave Pivec. The Dave Pivec Most Valuable Player Award will be awarded annually to the MIAA athlete showing the most determination, skill, sportsmanship, and leadership on the field.
After a tremendous amount of success at Red Shield Boys Club in three sports, Dave Pivec moved on to Patterson High School, where he earned varsity letters all four years in attendance. Pivec was All-Metro in Basketball and Football and held the single game scoring record for High School Basketball for 35 years, accomplished in 1963. As a Football player in High School, Pivec made All-Metro and was crowned Player of the Year nationally by Parade Magazine. Of the 84 College offers received, Pivec took his game to Notre Dame on a football scholarship, followed by 11 successful years in the CFL and NFL, playing most of his career for the LA Rams. Post-sports career, Pivec used his media experience and entered the advertising industry, eventually opening his own agency, with continued involvement in many charities including Ed Block, SIDS, and the Special Olympics of Maryland.
